Among the wet, dirty and deceiving streets of London there is the simply scrumptious society in which everyone wishes they could be apart of. Parties, Operas, Balls. Even the tea. Women up to their elbows in white gloves and dripped in the finest jewelry while men have fat, bushy mustaches and the stench of cigars clinging to their tuxedoes and top hats. Of course you were only among these people if you were royalty, related to them or made their wife. Either that or you had a small fortune of your own. If not, then you were nothing more than a useless charity or some scum on the street worth not even a second of their time. Turns out you are among these people. Lucky you.

Also this idea is loosly based off of the book series "The Gemma Doyle Trilogy" with the era and everything. There is of course the upper english society in that as well but I'm not involving the main focus of the books.
