Dear Foundling,

We are pleased to inform you that Lady Anne's Esteemed School for Foundlings and the Sacrificed cordially invites you to the Orientation of New Students on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of next month. If you do so accept our offer, a chaperon will await your presence at either the docks aboard the ship Windsong, at the entrance into town with horse and buggy, or at Ophira's Emporium with a flying mount. Each source for transit will leave at certain portions of the day, allowing you to choose and accommodate enough time to meet with either of the three chaperons. Again, if you do so accept our offer, you chaperon will henceforth become your guide for Class Examination and will accompany you on your student purchasing. Throughout this process, you may choose to reconsider our offer and deny it. The choice is gone, however, once Orientation is complete. Lastly, please do pay the animal in possession of this letter some sort of reward for its efforts. We are not responsible for any damage it commits to your person or belongings.

Ok. Here's the gist. This roleplay is somewhat of a fantasy/teen concept. Firstly, there are two categories to which a student (your character) can be considered. A foundling (orphan) or someone who is considered to be Sacrificed. Those who are orphans will receive letters delivered by specific animals (those who belong to the Sacrificed) and be dealt with accordingly.

Now, there's not much to explain about being an orphan. You have no parents or family. Lovely. And just to make things clear, everyone starts out as this: an orphan. Becoming what's known as "Sacrificed" takes time and practice and is voluntary. A student of the Sacrificed are only accepted at age fifteen and up. They are considered much more powerful in their class than the other foundlings. At the Sacrificial Ceremony, your character (if chosen to do so) will drink from what's known as the Infinite Chalice and POOF, an animal that represents your character will come alive from the earth!
There is one catch, however. Whoever drinks from the Chalice will be forced to sacrifice something dear. Some sacrifice natural gifts like seeing, tasting, feeling... Others simply give up their fertileness. It all depends on you.
